UserVoice and automatic location detection

So, two new things.

First, we have added UserVoice feedback forum. It’s purpose is to collect all new feature requests at one place. You can get the list of existing requests by clicking on a red ‘feedback’ button located at the right side of web page. There, you can vote for features that you find particularly useful, or you can even add your own requests, which is actually the point of the whole thing.

Second thing is related to web pages optimized for mobile devices. Starting from today, if you visit the pages with mobile device equipped with newer web browser, your location will be automatically detected and shown on screen. This means that you no longer need to enter manually your current address or location. Your device doesn’t need to have a GPS either – in that case your location will be determined by the surrounding cell towers. For those courious enough, all that is important is that your browser implements W3C Geolocation API or that it comes with Google Gears Plug-in. You can try out the whole thing even from your PC if you have Firefox 3.5 (or newer), or Google Chrome web browser.

Happy locating!
